Lubambe Copper Mine is an underground mining operation situated on the Zambian Copperbelt close to the town of Chllilabombwe. The Lubambe Copper Mine is 80% owned by EMR Capital Resources, while 20% is held by ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc.
Konkola Underground Copper Mine is located in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia and has the largest known ore reserves of all the eight operating mines owned by Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines . Konkola has long been recognised as one of the wettest, if not the wettest mine in the world.
This is the site of Konkola Deeps number 4 shaft, the flagship underground operation of Konkola Copper Mines , Zambias largest integrated copper producer integrated meaning the company digs ore out of the ground at one end, produces finished copper at the other, and handles all the stages in between, including smelting and refining.
Mining KCM has open pit and underground mines at Nchanga and Konkola. The largest of the mine assets, Konkola, is the most northerly of the Copperbelt mines and is located 26 kilometres from Chingola.
